Aura Butler training program has been adapted to suit hotel and hospitality industry clients. It is the foremost training program of its kind with standards that provide a flexible framework that can be used not just for butler training but also in other areas of hotel guest service, such as housekeeping, room service, front office and concierge departments. Job Description of a Butler
The butler is a key element in a team of professionals striving to deliver a level of personalized service that exceeds not only the expectation of the guest but will add a point of difference from the service provided anywhere else within the hotel/spa/resort. The position of butler provides a very personal, detailed, seamless service to guests.

  • A butler will take care of guests needs in a highly professional manner.
  • The butler will take gentle care of all their guests from arrival until departure without imposing themselves on the guest. The butler will be seen by the guests in response to all the guest’s needs and requests.
  • The attention to detail required and the ability to anticipate the needs of guests needs demand that the butler should be a combination of a hotel professional with impeccable standards.
  • The butler will strive to create an atmosphere that makes a ‘wow’ impression on the guests.

  1. Personal: the participant as an individual with unique characteristics and opportunities.
  2. Professional: the participant in relation to the profession of personalized service provider.
  3. Practical: all aspects related to a top level performance on a day to day basis.

  • Business Behavior  -A  compressed schedule with a lot of role-play and discussions on etiquette, table manners, correspondence, dress code and body language in our modern business world.
  • Protocol & etiquette and modern manners.- The modern manners currently applicable in the luxury world; addressing persons of different cultures and titled persons, acquiring social confidence, social correspondence and good manners.
  • Table- and event management- Theory and practice for running a perfect event with confidence and style; setting and serving meals, styles of service, table manners.
  • Security and safety-Safety and security at any hospitality set-up and when traveling, awareness and avoiding of risk.
  • Balancing wine and food-Theory and practice to balance food and wine; how does tasting work, what wine should one drink with my meal, wine and champagne knowledge.
  • Service and self presentation-Non-verbal communication, dress codes, self presentation, answering the phone or your e-mail, social-, cultural- and personal “graces'.
