IGNOU

The Indira Gandhi National Open University was established by an Act of Parliament in 1985. Today it serves the educational aspirations of about 1.8 million students in India and 32 countries abroad through 21 Schools of Studies and an elaborate network of 58 Regional centres, 1804 study centres, and 49 overseas centres. The University is making all efforts to take higher education to the doorsteps of the hitherto unreached. As of now, we cater to about 10% of all students enrolled in higher education in the country are enrolled with IGNOU. Apart from teaching and research, extension and training form the mainstay of its academic activities. It also acts as a national resource centre; and more importantly, functions as an apex body to promote and maintain standards of distance education. The University has its presence in 32 countries. The Commonwealth of Learning has recognised it as one of its centres of excellence.

  1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Applications/ Information Sciences/Information Technology from a recognised/deemed university OR
  2. Non-Computer Science B.Tech/M.Sc/other graduates (such applicants are required to pursue CIC concurrently with MCA 1st semester) OR
  3. Graduate with PGDCA from a recognised/deemed university or its equivalent course of not less than one yr. from a State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent body established by the Central/State Government Note:
    (i)     The Student who haven’t studied Maths at 10+2 level are required to do CS-60 in the first semester of MCA.
    (ii)     The students enrolling for the MCA Programme who have completed the DOEACC O-level programme are not required to enroll for CIC
